How to do it…
•Begin in a plank position with back straight, head, and spine aligned
•Place the hands directly below the shoulders, keeping fingers spread out and facing forward
•Quickly pull your right knee towards your chest without letting it touch the floor then return to the starting position
•Repeat with your left leg
•Continue by alternating knees towards your chest without moving your body from side to side

Burpees

Long hailed as a fitness classic, burpees have been a part of military training for good reason. They’re essentially a combination of push-ups and squat jumps to form one intensive exercise designed to burn lots of calories and strengthen major muscles groups.

By building burpees into your workout routine you can see amazing results both with fitness and fat loss. You can start simply by doing 3–5 burpees as part of your workout and then increase as you’re able.

How to do it…
•Start in a standing position
•Bend your knees and squat down placing your hands on the ground in front of you
•Kick both legs out behind you until you’re in a push-up position
•Do one push up
•Jump both feet simultaneously back up towards your hands until you’re back in a squatting position
•Stand back up straight, jump up, and land
A less strenuous version can be performed by omitting the push-up.

HIIT Training
If you want to lose fat quickly and efficiently, then the best routines are the ones that include a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) component. HIIT is a type of workout that involves alternating short bursts of intense anaerobic exercise with periods of rest.

Here’s a great HIIT workout to get you started. Always make sure you do some warm-up exercises for around 10 mins before you begin…
•Following your warm-up, do as many reps as possible of one of your favorite aerobic exercises (to start, you can choose one from those mentioned above).

  • Rest for 30 seconds, then choose a different exercise and do that for another 30 seconds.
    •Repeat the process 10 times.
  • It doesn’t matter which exercises you choose or what order you do them in but try to alternate between exercises that focus on different muscle groups if you can.
